How to Use Mirror Mode to Check Your Golf Posture
Checking your posture is one of the best ways to use Mirror Mode in Handy Golf. Whether you are practicing at home or on the range, Mirror Mode lets you see your setup in real time and compare it to a better reference position.
Why posture matters
Your posture at address influences your balance, rotation, swing plane, and contact. If you start too upright, too bent over, or in an awkward position, it becomes much harder to make a repeatable golf swing.
Mirror Mode gives you quick visual feedback so you can check whether your setup looks athletic, balanced, and ready for the swing.
How to check your posture with Mirror Mode
-
Open Mirror Mode in Handy Golf
Set up your phone or device so you can clearly see your body at address. -
Take your normal golf posture
Get into your usual setup position as if you are about to hit a shot. -
Use a reference image if needed
If you are not sure what good posture should look like, bring up a reference image inside Mirror Mode. -
Compare your position
Look at how your posture matches the reference. Check whether your spine angle, hip hinge, knee flex, and arm position are similar. -
Make small adjustments
If you look too upright, add more hip hinge. If you look too bent over, stand a little taller. The goal is to copy the general shape of the reference image while staying relaxed and balanced.
Common posture issues to look for
- Too upright: Your body may look stiff, with limited hip hinge.
- Too bent over: Your chest may be too low, making it difficult to rotate freely.
- Awkward or “funky” setup: Your weight, spine angle, or arm hang may not match a balanced golf posture.
Practice tip
Use Mirror Mode regularly for quick posture checks. A reference image can be especially helpful because it gives you a clear model to copy. Over time, this makes it easier to recognize and repeat a solid setup position for your swing.
